History Guruji was moving of out Macchiwara in the guise of 'Uch Da Pir' with Ghani Khan Nabi khan his followers. They were halted by the Mughal forces stationed out side Macchiwara. Their commander Dilawar khan wanted to check the identity of the 'Uch Da pir' they were given food to eat which they took after offering it to the 'holy Kirpan' while reciting 'Tav Parsad Abarm Ka Nar'. This town was owned by Rana Udho Singh Ghorewaha who received Rahon as a Jagir by Akbar the Great in return for his capturing of the rebel General Bairam Khan. This town and many surrounding it were owned by Ghorewaha Rajputs. As of 2001 India census, Machhiwara had a population of 18,363.
