History In Sikh history Mata Bhag Kaur was the first brave woman general who dressed like a man and led the forty deserters to Guru Gobind Singh Ji in the battlefield at Muktsar . She was also injured in the battlefield. Guru Ji took care of her wounds and she stayed with Guru ji in Nanded till the end of his life. After the passing of Guru Gobind Singhji at Nanded in 1708, she retired down at Jinvara, 11 km from Bidar in Karnataka where, immersed in meditation, she lived to attain a ripe old age. Her hut in Jinvara has now been converted into Gurudwara Tap Asthan Mai Bhago. At Nanded, too, a hall within the compound of Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib marking the site of her residence is known as Bunga Mai Bhago. The spear she used in this battle is preserved in Hazur Sahib with Guru Jiís weapons. For Taxi in Muktsar , contact Manohar Singh 91 9814736440 , 91 1633 268694
